The E100 Project presented its "grass-roots" plan to political officials at Lindenhurst, NY on June 27, 2008.

Lindenhurst, NY

Mayor Tom Brennan (right) and Legislator Wayne Horsley (left) carefully study the plan and find themselves excited about the potential of having Lindenhurst become the model for oil independence throughout Long Island.

It is this type of leadership and support that spells success for the "plain language" bottom-up plan.

On the conference table are the Brazilian sugarcane sample, that grows like a weed and processes into ethanol and the Brazilian made Dual Flex conversion kit that turns any car into a flex car that can run on any blend of gasoline and/or ethanol.

At the end of the meeting some of the E100 Project members pose for a photo-op with the Lindenhurst officials.  Pictured from left to right are Doug Madlon, Deputy Village Clerk, Carlos Borges, PhD., CTO for The E100 Project, Bill Smith, President, E100 Project, Bill of Rt 109 Service center (pioneered the first E85 dispenser on Long Island), Gus of Gus's Auto Service, Inc. (soon to break ground to add ethanol), Doug Romeo, Vice President, E100 Project together with Suffolk County Legislator - 14th District - Honorable Wayne R. Horsley (seated left) and Honorable Thomas A. Brennan, Mayor of Lindenhurst, NY.

More Exciting News - We just received a letter from President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, of Brazil that paves the way for strong support of our E100 Project through the promotion of Brazilian, sugarcane based, ethanol.  Our hope is to supplement the home grown corn based ethanol and close the gap before our food supply suffers from demand for more US, corn derived ethanol.  The approach is sound and support is growing - we will keep you posted here as this develops.

Oil would have to fall to $35 (20) a barrel to compete with ethanol in Brazil Click on these links for full story.

A non-political, non-special-interest group that invites your participation in this spectacular endevor.  The somewhat humorous graphic below, exemplifies the need to continue but level off "corn to fuel" production and, take advantage of the "sugar cane to fuel" limitless fuel source in conjunction with corn sources that are now "max'd out".  Read: Why sugarcane and not corn...   Join our mail List (click here) stay informed on all the latest news.

Why does energy independance, in the USA, seem so far off?  Brazil has enjoyed it for over 30 years and shares their technology with us.  Simply put, it's our turn!

Few Americans are aware of Brazil's oil independence, even though this monumental accomplishment was implemented over thirty years ago. In contrast, those familiar with Brazil's success in this area  and have always been perplexed by its failure to be adopted here in America.

The E100 Project introduces, on a grass-roots level, decades old Brazilian technology, that will open the door to America's freedom from the grip of OPEC and other oil producers throughout the world.  It is well known that the policies of the American government supports this effort.  However, to date there has been considerable talk but no solutions.  One can only speculate as to why this is so.  Perhaps  the perception of weening America's gasoline consumption habits to anything else is seems too formidable a task.

Thinking out of the box, therefore suggests that the dependence problem should not be approached on a grand scale,  but rather accomplished from the bottom up. E100Project.com details that approach.
